In the Summer of 2011 Roschman Dance was commissioned to create a full length original dance production, becoming the first dance company to be Commissioned for the prestigious summer festival "Summer on the Oval". 

 

Ovalicous Mambo tells the story of 9 young New Yorkers in the 1970's, struggling with love and loss in their late teens. Enjoyed by hundreds in the Oval Lawn; this unique commission allowed Roschman Dance to reach a new audience; and began a strong partnership between The Stuyvesant Town/Peter Cooper Village  community and Roschman Dance
